Shout out to all the analysts breaking down the election issues for us in South Africa. Here are the most important numbers for all of us to know as we share insights. The ANC under Mandela won with 63% in 1994. The ANC under Thabo Mbeki got 66% in 1999 and 70% in 2004. It then got 66% in 2009 under Jacob Zuma, and under Zuma again, it got 63% in 2014. It then got 58% under Cyril Ramaphosa in 2019, and we await to see what Ramaphosa will get tomorrow. It will be catastrophic for the ANC to get below 50% tomorrow. It will be the worst loss for the ANC in post-colonial South African elections and will force Cyril Ramaphosa to reflect. Put simply, it will be the worst ANC result in the history of elections in South Africa since 1994. The most successful leader in election victories has been Thabo Mbeki, taking the ANC from 63% to 70%. I will share more views and insights after the election results are out, reflecting on what I think the result will mean for South Africa. However, I personally don’t think that the ANC will drop below 50%. It would be its worst drop since elections began in 1994 if it happened. If that happens, then Cyril Ramaphosa’s grip on power, both in the ANC and the government, would be badly loosened, and I don't see him lasting the five-year term after such an electoral mauling. Mandela and Mbeki never faced COPE as Zuma did, and they also didn’t face EFF, MK, and COPE as Ramaphosa now does. Ramaphosa inherited a damaged ANC, so tomorrow he will be receiving punishment not just for his rule, but also for that of his predecessors who presided over various types of ANC decay in the last 30 years. For now, let me enjoy my single malt!

I agree with Sol

Indeed, well said @Solphendukaa The question then begs, why spend tens of millions on electioneering when all they had to do was fix the country in line with their mandate from their term of office? RSA 🇿🇦 has given them enough time & they have failed! #VoteThemOut #VoteSara2024

This was sent to me by DM. How can people work for such a big company only to earn such not even the bear minimum it’s like they work for a spaza shop? countless back and forth regarding our lives. Assupol is not only playing with peoples money it was also playing with employees lives. Employees strive to make something better their lives but continue to sit for empty promises ,have not recieved any assistance from anyone yet, are victimised if employees try and speak out. It is said they have lost vote of confidence in our leaders and head management and still can’t find a way forward. don’t know what families will survive but , go to work every only to live on cents while all those top goats enjoy the benefit of the sweat of agents that bring business to the company. This company has turned into a white beneficial place people of colour are nothing but pawns in helping them gain while others suffer. Anyone who has a solution please help. That company doesn’t promote unity it’s always division so that they can manipulate people of colour from standing together. We need unions in companies like this because our children are losing when it comes to following right way to report , worse HR fails to do anything, complaints to HR are used to victimise workers and you have no choice but to walk out coz the pressure and harshness given is bad. Assupol is not a good company to work for you won’t get paid what you promised. They are selling lies to fill their own pockets Working the whole month, 8 to 8 plus weekends and public holidays, bacede lapho Bathi no one is forcing you and if you don’t make their target they performance manage and dismiss you
