🏛️ A day at the State House to remember! Students from Pee Dee Math, Science & Technology Academy (PDMSTA) had the opportunity to attend a Senate Finance hearing and tour the State House, getting a firsthand look at how decisions are made and leadership takes shape. Experiences like this go beyond the classroom, sparking curiosity and helping students connect their learning to the real world. We had a wonderful visit to Heartwood Community School and got a glimpse of learning in action in the most meaningful ways! 🌿🎶📚 From a joyful music class held outdoors to students building real-world skills by learning the value of money, every moment reflected intentional, hands-on learning. We also loved seeing scholars engaged in reading and growing their confidence along the way. It’s clear that learning here goes beyond the classroom, creating experiences that stick and setting students up for success. That’s what it means to keep #KidsFirst!
