I'm still not 100% sure this isn't a shitpost but it's very funny that the 1980s version of Change UK: The Independent Group for Change, who also split from Labour because it wasn't right wing enough, are not only still going, but are calling for Starmer to resign.

@NewToFrontEnd @darren_cullen @PolitlcsUK @guardian One is promoting a cultural change, i.e. policy should be in the national interest. In terms of policies relating to local government, one that should help them focus on what they should be doing is this one.

@SDPThamesValley @darren_cullen @PolitlcsUK @guardian I have no problem with socialism. But 20 fractured parties with no power leaves extremists to run our country. Half our northern cities and councils are run by people with no interest in Britain or even their constituency outside their vote base. Do you have a cure for that?

In society, we do need to go back to a more Communitarian "We, not me" approach. That's not me trying to also imply that the Indivudual and their needs don't matter, no. What I am trying to say that Society can have an approach where we can look out for ourselves and others.

@SDPThamesValley Brexit always led here. We were always going to realign with Europe out of economic necessity - that much was foreseeable. Now we align without political representation. And if we ever re-join, we likely do so without the opt-outs we once had on Schengen and the euro

Starmer is once again demonstrating his true nature as he proposes allowing the EU to impose laws on us. Whatever happened to democratic accountability and the national interest? Labour must go.
