Alongside fellow staff members from the @CTCFrimleyPark, Lt Jones is taking on the Fleet Half Marathon to raise funds for the @AcctUk
They’re swapping boots for running shoes, pushing themselves through 13.1 miles to support cadets across the UK.
Army Cadet Charitable Trust (ACCT) UK aims to give all young people the opportunity to develop and achieve through Army Cadets activities.
We need your support! Every donation, big or small, helps ensure cadets continue to benefit from these opportunities. If you can, please contribute and help us make a difference.

🚨 Fake Blood Warning! 🚨
Our new recruits kicked off their cadet journey in style, getting their uniforms and kits issued, learning how to wear them properly, mastering boot polishing, and even tackling ironing (parents, your new favorite perk—no more ironing required!). They also got stuck into drill and fieldcraft lessons.
Meanwhile, the 1-star cohort showed off their lifesaving skills with first aid lessons and assessments. Our 2-stars stepped up their game, getting hands-on with the CSBTR.
An epic weekend packed with learning and teamwork!

Last month, we had an absolute blast hosting a group of future Year 7 students for an Experience Day at CCF! They got hands-on with exciting STEM challenges, building teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills along the way. 🧠
We hope they loved their sneak peek into Senior School life—we can’t wait to welcome them back soon!

On Sunday, 10 November 2024, our cadets joined Cheltenham town's service of remembrance and civic parade.
We’re incredibly proud of everyone who took part.
Special mention to Cdt Cpl Felix N. for serving as Memorial Guard and to Cdt Cpl Alice G. for laying a wreath on behalf of St Edward's School Combined Cadet Force.

This morning, our school came together for a touching remembrance service, led by Mr. Lewis and our CCF Cadets.
Cdt Sgt Matthew A played the Last Post, while Cdt Cpl Jakob C laid a wreath on behalf of the CCF.
Cdt Cpl Pierre J, Cdt Angus P, and Senior Prefect Arabella N each delivered heartfelt readings.
A powerful moment to honour those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

On Sunday, 10th November, Cheltenham’s Long Gardens War Memorial on the Promenade will once again serve as the focal point for the town’s Remembrance Service and Civic Parade.
If you'd like to spectate and show your support, we recommend arriving by 10:30 am to secure a good viewing spot.
The event will also be live-streamed on the Cheltenham Borough Council YouTube channel for those who can't attend in person.

Our cadets were out at the Ashley Manor fireworks display, raising funds for the 2024 RBL Poppy Appeal! They did an incredible job representing us! 🎉👏
Look out for our volunteers around school at lunchtime—they’ll have Poppy Appeal boxes stationed in key spots. Every donation counts! 🌺

This morning, KS3 students were engaged by 2Lt Jones’s presentation on joining the Combined Cadet Force! 🌟 Too many young people miss out on transformative challenges and adventures, but the CCF can change that. We provide fun, friendship, action, and adventure for youth from all backgrounds.
Our cadets are encouraged to learn, do, and try more, pushing their limits and aiming high, no matter their goals. With nearly 60 cadets and 8 adults at St Edward's School, the Army and RAF Cadets make a significant impact on young people, families, and local communities. Students in Year 8 and above are welcome to join us anytime!

🌟 A Day to Remember at Sandhurst! 🌟
The Cadets of St. Edwards School want to thank the Sandhurst Trust for a great experience earlier this month.
Witnessing the final rehearsal of the Sovereigns Parade was a highlight - a truly unique and unforgettable moment for all of us. A huge thanks to our fantastic guide, William Parrot, for making it all the more special with his expert insights and engaging storytelling during our tour and throughout the parade.
Also the opportunity to meet with the Officer Cadets that are in training was an eye-opening experience for our Cadets, providing invaluable insights into the world of officer military training and inspiring them for their own future paths.
We're already looking forward to returning with more Cadets in the future!
Huge thanks to the Sandhurst Trust for their generosity and support in creating such a meaningful and enriching experience for our Cadets.
