We visited P1 children in Carnoustie alongside @PSOSAngus to delivery road safety talks. We discussed the importance of being visible to vehicles and how to cross the roads safely. 90 children in total were given a Hi-Viz vest and reflective band or keyring.

Today we visited @CarnoustieHigh to hand over £100 we raised at our Xmas ‘Tour of the town’ for their Toast club. The toast club feeds 500 pupils per week during morning break, it solely relies on donations and fund raising.Bread, butter and jams can be dropped into the school.

Thanks to @SFRS_Angus @fire_scot for our S1 - CPR Awareness Training @ArbroathAcad. Pupils got to practice their learning on the SMART ANNIE and saw how a defibrillator can be used to support these situations. Thanks to Kenny, Andy and Dave!

In the run up to Bonfire night, Angus community action team, partnered with @PSOSTayside and Angus trading standards to ensure retailers are aware of their responsibilities and deliver safety advice on the use of fireworks.

Last weekend crews from Forfar firestation joined officers from the Forfar/Kirriemuir community Police to carry out patrols around the area of Forfar Loch. There has been a number of small fires in the area, the aim was to educate the public on the dangers and consequences.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service crews traditionally deal with around 1000 chimney fires each year.
If you use an open fire, make sure your chimney is swept before the colder, winter months.

Today we attended Carnoustie High School to donate and help with their ‘Toast Club’. It was great to opportunity to engage with such a polite and friendly bunch of young adults. ‘Toast Club’ is run every day and tries to ensure no child is hungry at break time. 👩🚒🍞❤️🚒

Angus CAT and crews from @ArbroathFire joined Officers from Arbroath Community Policing Team, at Letham Grange. Part of a joint initiative in the area to combat anti-social behaviour, to reassure local residents and provide a visible presence and deterrent.🚒🚓

Officers from Carnoustie attended the local Fire Station's Friday 'Breakfast Club'.
The fire crew will be there every Friday during the school holidays between 1000 - 1200, there are free breakfast packs and school uniforms to take home.
