Maybe if Boomers and elder Gen X had focused on voting for policies that benefitted their children rather than themselves, they could have had grandchildren. They pulled up the ladder behind them and expected us to keep climbing.

And that same media poured massive energy around concern about a trans woman playing sports (unfair!) in a way that drew fury that her teammates losing bodily autonomy did not. And talking about the moneyed beneficiaries buying those ads… I don’t disagree with all your points, but I’d like to see more challenge to this stuff

That was a cataclysm. Electoral map wipeout. Senate D practical ceiling is now 52 seats. R's is 62. Time to rebuild the left. We are out of touch with the crisis of meaning/purpose fueling MAGA. We refuse to pick big fights. Our tent is too small. 1/ Some early thoughts:

My middle daughter, currently a freshman at Lehigh University, has been on line to vote for 6.5 hours and counting. She did meet Jonathan Groff, which was nice, but it sure smells like voter suppression to me.

It's really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really important that you stay in line until you cast your ballot.

Don't be alarmed by Trump taking an early lead in the electoral vote count. We knew Kentucky, West Virginia, and other deep red states would be the first to be called. Hang in there. And if you're still in line to vote, stay there.
