I urge the UK and other governments who are finally raising their voice against the abysmal inhumanity unleashed against the Palestinian people, to walk the talk and impose sanctions on Israel now. Just to be sure, on this day more than ever: I stand firmly and convincingly on the side of justice, as I have always done. I come from a country with a tradition of illustrious legal scholars, talented lawyers and corageous judges who have defended justice at great cost and often with their own life. I intend to honor that tradition. Also: it is called the Rome Statute for a reason, and I am proud of it.

1/5 The Assembly of States Parties to the @IntlCrimCourt concludes its special session on the crime of aggression today. Over the past three days, it has considered amendments to the exercise of the Court’s jurisdiction over the crime of aggression. The #US, not a State party, was present, on the behest of #Israel, in order to intimidate and coerce others from pursuing criminal justice for the supreme international crime.
