Consumer protection is much weaker in the US than in Europe. For instance, the US wants Europe to buy chlorinated chicken. "Chlorine washed chicken could still carry salmonella and other bacteria, which is a clear human health risk." soilassociation.org/causes-campaig…

Built an anonymous voting library describing a large chunk of a scheme for anonymous voting using BBS based anonymous credentials. I wrote a visual explanation as well with the help of Claude’s frontend expertise: samuelschlesinger.github.io/voting/

@maceip I should mention that you can do a lot more than just selective disclosure with this! In that repository, we use range proofs on some of the fields. In general, you can run an arbitrary sigma protocol proving any predicate you want on the credential. You can also use bulletproofs

In this sense, they are an attack on the dollar’s role as the global reserve currency. That’s why today the DXY went down 2% even as VTI went down 5%.

It is now clear that, though these are called “reciprocal tariffs”, they are instead proportional to the trade imbalance. Thus, they are instead an attempt to put a self-correcting dynamic on American trade imbalances.

my understanding is that Pay2PubKeyHash will not be broken for an address which has only been sent to and has never spent, but addresses which have been spent at least once will be vulnerable
