@mossyperson @MostBoringJeni If Sokka were not Katara's brother, he absolutely would not have joined Aang on his own. He has no reason to. Katara joined to teach him waterbending. Sokka joined because he's the waterbender's brother. He was also just notably a worse person at the start of the series.

I'll never understand people who push for no localisation in official translations but refuse to just learn the original language when I was 13 and had the same "translators ruin the author's intent" mindset, the obvious thing for me was that I started reading the original LOL

@removeanime @ThePurpIeKnight There was a pretty famous court case against ticketmaster where Pearl Jam wanted to cap it's tickets to $18 (as service to its fans) but TM refused to sell without like 50-100%+ markup fees, so they couldn't play in any of TM's monopoly of venues, even canceling a whole tour.

Imagine if the band charged the actual fair market price (what the price on Ticketmaster showed it as aka a convergence of supply/demand) - people would riot. This is a fault of the fans, not the market maker.

@removeanime @ThePurpIeKnight Mostly because ticketmaster/stubhub has its own slew of issues beyond their accessibility. Getting my 80 dollar ticket to a show is more convenient but it sucks knowing that a band only wanted to charge 12 and is only getting 5 so ticketmaster is just pocketing the rest in fees

@ThePurpIeKnight agree, ticketmaster/stubhub are honestly a much superior option than any alternative but you can't say that in the year of our Lord 2026 so now whoever guesses the code the fastest/most online gets a ticket, which is still fairly meritocratic and fine but still unpopular
