We left today to adopt our child. When we arrived we saw her inseparable from Mavrouli, her brother. The volunteers told us that he was black and that unfortunately he was left alone because he was the only brother nobody wanted. I looked at the man "And then we thought, we want both at the same time!!!! Today we have become a family of 4!!! Let's go home!!!! I wish everyone to live so happily."

"Yesterday I adopted the oldest, and sorest shelter dog. I'll never forget his eyes. When I went into the cage he didn't even bother to look, he knew I wouldn't even see him. Curling around the corner He'd accepted his fate. The volunteer said to me many times... Are you sure this one? Are you sure? YES! This is my dog. He opened the cage and 3 animals fell on me. I ran towards him, suddenly he looked at me as if he saw an angel... I hugged him and told him that now he'll be happy again. Then he sleeps in my lap... probably the first peaceful sleep he ever had. Give it a life. Give it a hug. They need us." From a dad who saved a soul.

"I just went to buy a Samsung washer and dryer from a guy, and he was asking $500. I told him I just had a kid and if he could take $400, I’d be really grateful. I got home, hooked everything up, and everything worked great. I opened up the dryer to check the lint filter and I was shocked my $400 was sitting in there. I got a message from him saying, “Check the dryer. A gift for the new baby.” Man, words can't describe how grateful I am right now. 🥺 I feel so blessed; I felt I had to share. Big shout out to David! 1973 'I'm A Writer Not A Fighter'

August 8, 1982. A line drive foul ball hits a four year old boy in the head at Fenway. Jim Rice, realizing in a flash that it would take EMTs too long to arrive and cut through the crowd, sprang from the dugout and scooped up the boy. He laid the boy gently on the dugout floor, where the Red Sox medical team began to treat him. When the boy arrived at the hospital 30 minutes later, doctors said, without a doubt that Jim's prompt actions saved the boy's life. Jim returned to the game in a blood-stained uniform. A real badge of courage. After visiting the boy in the hospital, and realizing the family was of modest means, he stopped by the business office and instructed that the bill be sent to him. This is what a sports Hero looks like! ❤

We will introduce “Milo” to the rest of our pets gradually and watch Milo like a hawk to make sure no pet bullies him. Our neighbours will let him into their home now and then because they love him too. Wish us all luck. 🙏

Breaking News: The dilute orange tabby who I posted as a Stray?? No one came forward even though we advertised on all venues, SO we’re adopting him ourselves. He gets neutered/shots & health check-up on June 15. Our neighbours will give him love too.

“Twice this week, I have watched an elderly individual, fade into the busy life in which we all live. One man just needed Panadol for his wife but the shop assistant simply said it’s in aisle ‘6’. But he struggled to navigate the supermarket and as I watched him go in the wrong direction, I left all my groceries and took him where he needed to go. Today, I watched an elderly man struggle in the heat, who had obviously had a fall with a huge scrape and blood on his leg. He walked past people in the cafe, while he slowly made his way to his car. Not one person stopped. Or looked. Or acknowledged him. I took him to his car and checked he was ok. He told me he had a fall and wasn’t sure how the air con worked in his car so he just didn’t use it. I sat with him, until his air con kicked in and heard him talk about the old frail body that he is in, that fails him now, every single day. When you see an elderly person walking down the street, searching in the supermarket or struggling to their car, take a minute out of your busy schedule and ask them if they need a hand. Think about your grand parents and your parents and how pissed you would be if someone didn’t stop to help them. But more, think of them as you. Once upon a time they were you. They were busy, they had work, they had children, they were able.... Today, they are just in an older body that is not going as fast as it used to and this busy life is confusing. They deserve our utmost respect and consideration. One day it will be you, it will be us. I wish more people gave a sh*t about them and acknowledged them for their admirable existence and geez I hope someday, not that far away, someone does it for me.” Credit: Adele Barbaro

“I was driving up 75, and saw the trooper in the turnout...checked my speed, oh I'm good. A few minutes later, I see a dog in the ditch by one of the signs for exit 20. She looked bad. I was in left lane, heading to an appointment, and was torn. I decided I would go back southbound and risk a ticket by going to the turnout. I turned in and the trooper was still there! Yay! He rolled down his window and said "yep! I'm here" to which i told him about the dog and I didn't want a ticket, but if I could help that dog, it was fine by me. He just asked where the dog was and was on his way! I followed and we found her. Still there, panting like she was fixing to die. That trooper dumped his jug out and fashioned a water bowl for her. Then poured a couple bottles of water. The dog was scared of him, but frozen in weakness. She sniffed the water, then realized this kindness was for her! She drank that water down in minutes! And the trooper went and got her some more, plus a little debby. She watched him warily the whole time. She sniffed his hand, but was still wary. Next thing, he goes to his vehicle and gets a chair and an umbrella. Telling me he will stay here until she trusts him, so he can get her to a shelter, or take her home. 🤗. I believe his being there at the right time, was one of those little messages reminding us of the good in our world. ❤️ Meet Trooper Tudors, of the TN State Highway Patrol.
