This week, we hosted a ribbon-cutting for the new SSD central garage, marking the culmination of months of planning and construction by our transportation and facilities teams. Thank you all who worked on the facility and ribbon-cutting ceremony.

This week, Board Director Soudah and I visited Washington School in @NormandySC1. Thank you to the school community for being so welcoming and to the leadership and staff for being great partners in education.

Last night, we celebrated the extraordinary dedication and achievements of SSD's 2024 Staff Salutes Award winners. It was a joy to honor their commitment to our students and community. Special congratulations to our retirees for their years of service and impact.

Today, students across the district witnessed the historic solar eclipse. While we weren’t in the path of totality, it was a stellar learning experience for students and staff. I was over the moon watching the #Eclipse2024 with my CO colleagues and VSP students.

I had a great time last night with Board President Pottroff and SSD colleagues at the Florissant Valley Kiwanis trivia night. We had fun while raising money for area children’s charities.

Honored to attend the @SOMissouri event alongside @SSDStLCo and @HazelwoodSD leaders. Witnessing the incredible spirit and determination of these student-athletes reminds us all of the power of #inclusion and support. Grateful for the opportunity to celebrate their achievements!

Thrilled to recently have had the opportunity to visit Ms. Lindsey Weatherby's class at @SperrengFlyers in the @LindberghFlyers. I love seeing the enthusiasm our students have for learning.

I recently visited with the outstanding staff and students in the @BrentwoodMOSD. I really enjoy getting to talk with staff and interact with students. Thank you to Brentwood for being such collaborative partners!

Earlier this week, I enjoyed spending time with friends in the vocational skills program (VSP) at their dance.
