This week's National Forum “Communities That Care” brought together authorities, communities, NGOs & service providers to discuss the social protection system in 🇺🇦 and how to strengthen it to better meet people’s needs. Organized by @KRYMSOS & @SSS_Ukraine w/ support from UNHCR.

NGO @SSS_Ukraine, with UNHCR support, held the “Cities of Solidarity” Forum for Mykolaiv, Odesa & Kherson regions, discussing social protection, solutions for evacuees, community integration & the key role of IDP Councils in strengthening cohesion.

We are saddened by the death of a social protection specialist from our partner @SSS_Ukraine, killed in the horrific attack on Zaporizhzhia on 20 Nov. Our thoughts are with their family. Attacks on civilians must stop. They are #NotATarget.

Провели Всеукраїнський форум лідерів соціальних змін, організований разом з @UNHCRUkraine за підтримки @SSS_Ukraine — подію для керівників та фахівців, для кого соціальна політика — не просто набір пільг та виплат, а маршрут підтримки людини. Понад 200 соціальних працівників з усієї України на форумі ділилися ініціативами та успішними практиками, показуючи, як соціальна політика працює на місцях. UNHCR & @SSS_Ukraine held an interregional forum in Poltava🇺🇦, uniting 120+ participants to discuss social services during war-time. The event focused on supporting older people & people w/ disabilities, social adaptation & reforms in social protection system incl. digitalization

UNHCR & partner @SSS_Ukraine held the Inter-regional Forum “Social Sphere in the Conditions of War” in Dnipro 🇺🇦, gathering 70+ participants to discuss inclusion of displaced people, implementation of assisted living services & reforms in Ukraine’s social protection system.

The Forum of IDP Councils in Lviv brought together representatives from 8 regions to share local solutions & strengthen the participation of displaced people in decision-making. Supported by @UNHCRUkraine & organized by @SSS_Ukraine, the Forum fosters inclusive recovery across🇺🇦

On Sept 4–5, @SSS_Ukraine & @UNHCRUkraine held the Eastern Forum of IDP Councils in Dnipro🇺🇦 Representatives of central & local authorities, IDP Councils & civil society from 6 regions met to exchange experiences & strengthen IDP integration into host communities.
