Yesterday we hosted the Year 7 #STEM Spelling Bee Regional Final, sponsored by @RoySocChem. Schools from across the East Mids took part inc a team from Trent. The event was a fantastic opportunity to promote literacy in Science! Congrats to @TwycrossSchool on their awards🏆

@amyjv Not yet! There will definitely be an Oxford one if you fancy a trip there, maybe take in a few museums while you’re there, open their eyes to HE early?

Thankyou so much to all the schools who joined us in Oxford on Thursday afternoon. You all did so well! Plans already afoot for next year so hope to see you all again then.

Congrats to our @STEMspelling winners @TheRoyalLatin who between them spelled 102 words in 6 minutes! @FaringdonCC and @TMA_School took well deserved second and third places. A huge well done to all who competed - the standard was very high with a mean of 13 words per minute.
