On Friday, our #STRIKFORNATO🔱 interns had the incredible opportunity to visit the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs 🇵🇹, where they received briefings and insights from the Department for Security and Defence, including the @NATO Division, the Common Security and Defence Policy Division and the Non‑Proliferation and Disarmament Division.   The @nestrangeiro_pt plays a key role on the global stage, ensuring that diplomacy, security and international cooperation remain as central pillars of national policy. On Wednesday, 🇮🇹 fighter jets from @ItalianAirForce, deployed at Amari Air Base 🇪🇪 for @NATO enhanced Air Policing, intercepted a Russian 🇷🇺SU-30 Flanker H aircraft over the Baltic Sea. The Italian jets launched the Alpha Scramble under NATO’s Eastern Sentry activities together with 🇫🇮 and 🇸🇪 jets ensuring the security of #NATO airspace. #EASN

This week, #STRIKFORNATO 🔱 hosted senior military officers from the Bundeswehr Command and Staff College (BwCSC) 🇩🇪 as part of their broader training and professional development. They were received by our German SNR, CDR Carsten Deur 🇩🇪 and met with our DCOM, RADM Craig Wood CBE 🇬🇧 and COS, BGEN Andrew Priddy 🇺🇸. During their visit, they toured our JOC and received a brief on our mission to deliver high-end maritime strike and defence capabilities to ensure the security of the 1 billion citizens of @NATO. The BwCSC educates both German nationals and international students, fostering a collaborative, multinational approach to decision making. #WeAreNATO 🛡️ #StrongerTogether 💪

Today, our French SNR, CDR Gregorie Chavignot 🇫🇷 welcomed to #STRIKFORNATO 🔱 HQ a cohort from the French War College 🇫🇷.   During their visit, they met with our COS, BGEN Andrew Priddy 🇺🇸, and received a brief on our mission to deliver high-end maritime strike and defence capabilities to ensure the security of the 1 billion citizens of @NATO.   The mission of the French War College 🇫🇷 is to prepare senior officers to assume staff, command, and leadership responsibilities within their service branch, in joint or Allied organizations and headquarters.   #WeAreNATO 🛡️
