1/ SWACSM is committed to delivering a safe conference experience. Due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, face coverings (surgical or cotton masks) that cover both the mouth and nose will be required for all SWACSM annual meeting attendees while indoors.

This year's SWACSM conference is at the Costa Mesa Hilton. Book your room before the discount room block closes on October 28th. The discounted room rate is $139. You must call the hotel at 714-540-7000 to get the discount and mention you are with the Southwest ACSM conference!

Registration for the SWACSM Annual Meeting is available now! members.acsm.org/ACSM/Events/Ev… This year, we are offering a Covid-19 return to in-person meeting discount. The registration rate for professional members is $125 and the rate for current students is $65.

CALL FOR JUDGES STUDENT RESEARCH AWARD COMPETITION! We need judges to review and rank expanded abstract submissions and judge oral presentations delivered by the finalists. If you would like to serve the chapter, please contact Jenevieve Roper, PhD, Jenevieve.roper@lmu.edu.

Barbara Drinkwater Student Research Travel Award- This travel award provides $500 travel support to the ACSM Annual Meeting for students engaged in and presenting research findings related to the Female Athlete Triad. The application deadline is April 15, 2019.
