Scott Jennings just left 26-year-old left-wing activist David Hogg stumbling in his dust live on CNN. Hogg tried to claim anyone with an “elementary school understanding” of foreign policy could have predicted the Strait of Hormuz closure. Jennings left him speechless with one simple question. HOGG: “Anybody with an elementary school understanding of foreign policy could have told you the Strait of Hormuz was going to get shut down, and that is exactly what happened.” JENNINGS: “And who controls it right now?” [Silence] “Who controls strait right now?” HOGG: “How high are...why are gas prices so high then?” JENNINGS: “Why were they high during Biden’s administration? Did you like that?” [Jennings laughs in his face] “You’re using last week’s talking points David, WE control the strait!” “We are in charge of this conflict right now.”

🔥 Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas just dropped a TRUTH BOMB “I think if we don't stand up and take OWNERSHIP of our country—and take responsibility for it—we are slowly letting OTHERS control HOW we think and WHAT we think.” “If you think it's losing confidence, then you get up and you participate. You don't sit on the sidelines!” This man is a national treasure.

I’ve been interacting with multiple AI model since they came out. In my opinion, they’re getting worse from a fact based standpoint. Maybe that’s because they have expanded information bases that includes typical internet nonsense. I don’t know.

I personally think it may be a mistake to study medicine with what’s about to happen with AI. Especially in the United States with the insane levels of med school debt. My opinion only. These young students should know what they’re getting into and the big changes ahead

George R.R. Martin says he hasn't finished The Winds Of Winter because he's not in the mood: "I do think if I can just get some of these other things off my back, I could finish The Winds of Winter pretty soon. It's been made clear to me that Winds is the priority, but… I don’t know. Sometimes I’m not in the mood for that." Is this a disregard for the fans at this point?

People need to understand THE DIFFERENCE between the past and the NOW. Trump NEVER had real control of the Executive Branch agencies during his first term. He had - at best - a token level of control while they furiously tried to remove him, either by manufacturing scandals or impeaching him. He **understood** in that first term he did not have enough control to force certain issues. We've known what Schiff and Co. did on that Ukraine impeachment for going on 7 years now. But here's the crucial difference. Here's what EVERY COMMENTATOR ON THIS THAT I'VE SEEN has missed. TRUMP HAS CONTROL NOW. He's completed a year-long HOSTILE TAKEOVER of the Executive Branch. That's not THEIR DOJ now. That's HIS DOJ. That's not THEIR FBI now. That's HIS FBI. That's not THEIR DNI OFFICE ANY MORE. That's HIS DNI OFFICE now. It took awhile to get to this point, a long hard slog of a year to get a successful hostile takeover to the point they can begin the prosecution phase for the crimes they committed both against him and so many others in that first term. There's a difference between KNOWING what they did and being in a real position to DO SOMETHING about what they did. This new declassification happening now is happening from INSIDE THE HOUSE. Trump and his people are NOT OUTSIDERS any more. THAT'S THEIR HOUSE NOW. IT BELONGS TO THEM. MAJOR MAJOR FREAKING DIFFERENCE from the first term. Trump is really big on revenge. And here it comes.

@WR4NYGov That the emperor finally 'saw the light' perhaps makes the whole point. He was effectively a 'political' leader of the country and not a complete cult leader without any ability to recognize the interest of the country as opposed to his cult.

@S_Beckman2 I’m not sure that’s completely accurate. I think there were a lot of Japanese that we’re willing to sacrifice their lives for the emperor, and at the last minute, the emperor came through and decided that wasn’t the right way to go.

30 years ago, I was living in Hiroshima during the 50th anniversary of the bomb. I would ask people their thoughts on it. Young Japanese were just taught that war is bad. They didn’t blame anyone. I had a few older male students who were born before the war. They blamed the Japanese government of the time and the emperor. Takaaki was the oldest, 13 when the bomb hit. He lived far enough out, over a hill, so that his home was not affected. A few days later he walked in to try to find friends. They were gone. After World War II we didn’t destroy our enemies. We rebuilt them. We helped Japan thrive. They appreciate it. The image is 原爆ドーム (Atomic Bomb Dome). One of the few structures to partially “survive” the bomb, mostly destroyed 150 meters east of Ground Zero, 600 meters below detonation. Hiroshima Peace Park and its museum are one of the places everyone should visit, to understand the horror of war. The Normandy American cemetery at Omaha Beach is another. Have you been to either? Which others would you suggest?

Спрошу японский твиттер, потому что мне очень интересно. Как вы смогли простить американцам Хиросиму и Нагасаки, и что вообще современные японцы про это думают? Если где-то уже был такой тред, пришлите ссылку, пожалуйста.

@WR4NYGov Perhaps. But they weren't 'martyring' themselves in terrorist actions across the planet to demonstrate their commitment and to punish anyone who didn't adhere to the same belief. I have to stick with these things are not quite like each other.
