@nxt888 Colonizers always do this. When the natives resist, it can’t be because they have dignity, courage, or a cause worth dying for. That would require the colonizer to see them as equals, which would require the colonizer to see themselves as a cancer on humanity.

Florida tried to create "Alligator Alcatraz." The Miccosukee Tribe stood up and sued. As a result, Alligator Alcatraz was officially shut down today. We need to thank the Miccosukee Nation for their courage and attention to this fight; this victory wouldn't have happened without their commitment to protecting our environment.

@sucegoule @RnaudBertrand We will cope with it… once the French parasite is removed from the entire continent, with Russian and Chinese weapons. Algeria, Niger, Mali, Eritrea and Burkina Faso are delivering blow after blow to French arrogance and the parasitic system it built across Africa.

When African nations finally sever the ties leave the CFA, expel the bases, reclaim the resources France will not collapse overnight. But it will shrink. And it will finally have to confront the truth: its greatness was never its own.

It says an awful lot about France - and not in a good way - that there is "political divide" on using air conditioning when temperatures literally exceed those of the Sahara desert, and when France has one of the greenest energy mixes in the world (thanks to nuclear). And it says even more that those who oppose AC are often the same as those who oppose nuclear: the view - presumably - is that you should neither adapt to climate change (AC) nor prevent it (nuclear). Also the same people, incidentally, who oppose pesticides and fertilizers - basically modern farming - and push for all-organic: a prescription that, if universally applied, would literally starve billions of people (and, ironically, would require so much additional farmland it would devastate the world's remaining forests). It's all part of the same logical fallacy, the notion that if something causes a problem, then that thing is the problem. Yes progress and technology caused and continue to cause plenty of environmental issues. And there is indeed something seductive in saying "we've gone too far, let's change tracks, let's head towards a simpler, slower life, we used to be like that." But not only is this just not feasible without causing far greater harm to ourselves, it's also a fundamentally nihilistic and mortiferous ideology. One that rests on a profound discomfort with what's arguably the single most defining feature of humanity: our ability to shape our environment to suit us, to fight our circumstances rather than surrender to them. That's been the case ever since we discovered fire and invented farming. It is, at the end of the day, the transformation of humanity's genius - our need to create and improve our condition - into a vice. They make it sound like a humanistic project but how could it be since the core premise is fear of humans and contempt for our very nature? Conclusion: yes, 100 times yes, use AC. You'd need to be a complete moron to let yourself boil under 43C heat in order to "save the planet." If climate change is to be solved, it will be by getting the ideologues out of the way of the people who actually fix things.

@KSekumbo @Farida_N You ask about Anglophone countries "submitting voluntarily." First tell me. Are they even independent now? Independent to make their own resource decisions? To write their own curriculum? To set economic policy without IMF approval?

@KSekumbo @Farida_N And the CFA franc, the financial noose around 14 nations. Three countries just slipped the noose. The others are watching. That is the panic.

@KSekumbo @Farida_N France is not panicking just because of military bases. It is panicking because of math. Niger → uranium (70% of France's electricity) Mali → gold (third largest producer in Africa) Burkina Faso → cotton (one of Africa's top producers)

It is not just trying to rebrand itself. France is actively in search of new colonies. This is not speculation or Pan-Africanist conspiracy theory. Two years ago, Macron presented a plan to his own parliament explicitly identifying anglophone and lusophone African countries as France’s new strategic frontier, the next territory to be brought into the orbit of French influence now that francophone Africa has had the dignity to show it the door. The methodology might be different because we are not 1946. The vocabulary will be partnership, investment, security cooperation, cultural exchange. But the result will be identical because the logic has never changed. So to our “anglophone and lusophone” brothers and sisters across the continent, congratulations on your new status as France’s next strategic frontier. That status earned our countries labelled as “francophone” 7 places out of the top 10 poorest countries in Africa. It really pays to speak fluent “comment allez vous?”.

France has lost a lot of its relevance and influence in West Africa in recent years. Now it's trying to rebrand itself during a summit with African heads of states in Kenya. Al Jazeera’s Marthe van der Wolf @marthevdwolf explains.

@MenchOsint There it is, the arrogance of a parasite that has gorged itself on Africa's spine. That arrogance now blinds him to today's reality. Africa doesn't want France and its french parasite. His panic is showing and so is his bloodthirsty ego, no matter how hard he tries to mask it.

@cecild84 France is the cancer of Africa. Either Africa stands, truly stands or we fall trying. There is no middle ground where dignity survives. That's not extremism. That's the only honest answer to 500 years of theft. Motherland or Death!

@bintiswahiliya Theoretically, we need nothing from France. Practically, the salon-slave sits in the State House and will not leave without force. Freedom is not free. It costs comfort. It costs safety. It may cost your life. Are we ready to pay?

No Mali gold, No Burkina Diamond, no Niger Uranium … I guess the next phase is rolling blackouts in Europe like many African countries.

This is the most concrete act of economic decolonization in a generation. The CFA franc is not a currency. It is a collar. It forced 14 African nations to park 50% of their reserves in the French treasury. It gave France veto power over the monetary policy of its former colonies
Typical African@Joe__Bassey

Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger are set to print their currency soon, which will be backed by their resources, so they can dump the French CFA Franc.
