The American toad (Anaxyrus americanus) is a toad species that is thought to have descended from a invasion of toads from South America. All stages of the toad have poison glands and will release poison if they feel threatened. But if you don't try to eat it, you'll be okay.

Sometimes they choose to dig small holes to hide in, which I captured a picture of here. They contribute to the environment by being a food source for some animals which can handle it's toxin, such as garter snakes and racoons.

@SBellHorticult1 Why knowledge is an important thing...hope you're all right. Monks hood is another one that can be dangerous...even fatal. It's a good idea to research your plants before handling.

PS. I didn't eat it, I likely breathed in a good amount of pollen or ingested some oils by accident. I was stuck inside with abdominal pains and nausea for a good 3 days.

Corona Chronicles 14 13 June, 2020 Back with the lilies, but I transplanted two summer plants out in the front yard first. A pickaxe is very useful in their removal. Side note: Lily of the valley is actually toxic. Be careful not to ingest any part of it. Might've got me sick!

Corona Chronicles 13 May 31, 2020 Spent about 3 hours pulling lily of the valley from this bed; still not done. If Satan had roots, you could find them on these plants. Spread out, dense, heavy, resilient, and choke out other plants. At least they smell nice.

The Wood forget-me not (Myosotis sylvatica) is a flower native to Europe. There's not much information on these but they do self-seed in good conditions.

Corona Chronicles 12 May 22 & 25, 2020 Beautiful day outside. Got out bright and early. Cleaned out some large beds, put fresh top soil w/peat moss, then topped it off with mulch. Spent the rest of the time admiring the blossoms.

Blame for overcrowding Toronto city parks should be laid at the door of governments that provide so few outdoor outlets for people without access to golf clubs, cottages & backyards. People's need to access nature is called #biophilia; meet that need!! huffingtonpost.ca/entry/trinity-…

@Talha33771090 I think you need to look at this one again...the jointer performs one task and the planer another. The length of the board doesn't matter.

As there is no 3rd dimension in this diagram, I don’t think that a planer wis needed (assuming that the thickness of the board is perfect). So I would run the plank through the jointer, side B first, then side C, the side A and last side D.

Corona Chronicles 11 May 16, 2020 Had a very strenuous day in the yard. Had to plant 9 cedar trees in soil littered with roots from the previous lot of trees. It took quite a long time but it ultimately worked out very well! It's nice to see some fresh trees in the garden.

Addendum: Corona Chronicles 10.5 May 13, 2020 Had only a little bit of time, but I chopped down a thorny Bush and began to clean out an overgrown bed whilst saving the garlic inside.

A plumber has everything to do with water and piping, but I don’t find any interest with that. With electricity it somewhat relates back to my preferred subject in science. It would also be an experience working as an electrician as even after you may switch job occupations

Your knowledge as an electrician may come in handy later in life. On a day to day though, being an electrician may be somewhat lacklustre, as everyday may start to feel the same in my opinion. What I mean by that is being an electrician seems like your doing the same thing all
