✍️URGENT letter to Home Secretary about animal welfare. @ukhomeoffice ministers have stopped 75 highly skilled sheep shearers from coming to the UK for this year’s sheep shearing season. @natsheep tell me that Australian and Kiwi shearers usually shear 1.5-2 million sheep in our warm months to prevent heat stroke and disease. The Home Office must u-turn on this decision urgently before the season starts in two months.

Few standouts for me: Louis Brown, good under the high ball and confident driving the game with his boot Siva was a really fun addition to the squad. If he'd have finished that diving effort from the cross field I'd have lost my damn mind Tom Seabrook is ridiculously good with ball in hand Billy Twelvetrees still has it Tiff is a different player to the last time we saw him Will Reed is a class act Tim Hoyt is flipping huge. Tank of a man The scrum in general held up really well and met Bath on even terms on multiple occasions Al Kareem carries like a man possessed Thabo has a real fire in his eyes to make an impact. Big old boy too Will Trewin is rapid, strong - love to see that finish at the end Jake Garside is the fastest man alive. Probably Alfie is hard as nails. Loves a contact Roma Zheng looks like a real handful Despite it being a friendly we did not give those boys an INCH when it got spicy. You love to see it. And honestly, that's not even half of the good news. Nobody had a bad game and everyone stepped up to the occasion for us. So, so proud to have a team of top lads back playing rugby. We've somehow put together an incredible arsenal of skills, experience and gritty buggers in 12 weeks and competed with Bath (Prem champs don't forget) with a squad that's worth a fraction of theirs. Credit is due all around
