@Eeazy_Weezy 💯 Tokens are such a double-edged sword. They are rarely useful to enhance a game experience. I do believe, in some cases, that they can bring more immersion to a game's ecosystem but for this you need a carefully crafted economic design and a lot of players...

The Web3 gaming airdrop goldrush has begun! 🪙🪂 Stay ahead of the curve because here’s what will happen next. ⬇️ 1⃣ Every gaming project will launch a token now. - Most games probably should NOT have one, but the prospect of liquidity and the pump is just too intoxicating. 2⃣ After the initial hype phase, most tokens will be Down Only - As teams scramble to launch a token, thoughtful economic design will be more and more of an afterthought. - Projects will repeat the failures of prior cycles... over and over again. 3⃣ All of this is basically Zero Sum for web3 games when it comes to User Acquisition - Tokens are powerful UA tools. But when everyone has access to the same tool then no one has an advantage. - This gold rush trends towards an APY war, i.e. which project is giving you the best yield on your capital and time. - Winners will be the speculators / farmers, not the projects. - A token launch should be a part of a bigger GTM strategy, not the endpoint. 4⃣ Early mover (dis)advantage - The games that launch tokens first are just providing liquidity for the assets of games that launch tokens later. - Just don’t launch too late and miss the (initial) hype cycle altogether… which will probably peak within 3-4 months 5⃣ Web3 games will continue to make this strategic mistake - Web3 is a place for whale games. Don’t fight it. Embrace it. - Projects continue to compete for DAU within a laughably small web3 player pool (breadth). - When they should be thinking about wallet share (depth). 6⃣ Regulators will begin to focus on gaming tokens - This will take sometime as they are always behind the curve. - I hope your fav gaming projects has lawyered up... right NOW.
