A dynamic duo collects league honors. The conference has released its All-CCIW Women's Basketball Teams for the 2024-25 season, and Wheaton's Annika Richardson and Kate Oliver have each earned recognition for their performances this year. Today's announcement marks the third All-CCIW recognition of Richardson's career and her first First Team designation, while Oliver receives her first All-Conference nod this season. Senior Night success! The Thunder women's basketball team outscores North Central 20-9 in the fourth quarter to complete a comeback victory and end the regular season on a high note. Tonight's result means that Wheaton finishes fourth in the conference standings and earns the right to host a @CCIW_Athletics Tournament quarterfinal game on Tuesday night. The Thunder will take on fifth-seeded Elmhurst University at 7 PM in King Arena, and more details for the game will be made available on the Wheaton Athletics website. Annika Richardson scored 17 points and grabbed game-highs of 11 rebounds and four steals for a double-double on her Senior Night. Kate Oliver led all players with 22 points this evening, shot 67% from the field, and also earned a double-double with ten boards to her credit. #LetsRoll

The best player in the country last week. Congratulations to @Wheaton_MBB's Soren Richardson for being named the @USBWA Division III Men's Basketball National Player of the Week following his performances against North Park and Carroll! The Richardson siblings went OFF last night, as Soren scored 53 for the @Wheaton_MBB team in a win at North Park and Annika scored 36 in the Thunder women's team's home victory over Elmhurst. Both point totals are the highest scoring marks in a single @CCIW_Athletics game this season in men's and women's basketball. Above .500 in conference play! The Wheaton women's basketball team picks up an important win over the Elmhurst Bluejays to move to 6-5 in CCIW action and fourth in the conference standings. Annika Richardson scored a career-high 36 points off of 13 made field goals and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds for a double-double tonight.  The Thunder are back in King Arena on Saturday for a 5 PM game against Carroll University. #LetsRoll

Triple-digits in the Windy City. The @Wheaton_MBB team outlasts North Park in a shootout for the program's first 100-point game in seven years.  Soren Richardson scored an astonishing 53 points tonight from 18 made field goals, including a game-high six three-pointers. Richardson's scoring total is the third-highest in a single game in program history and the third-highest among all NCAA divisions this season. His 53 points also marks the most points a Wheaton player has ever scored in a conference game. Wheaton returns home to take on the Carroll Pioneers in King Arena on Saturday night. #LetsRoll

Road W to open conference play! The @Wheaton_WBB team scores 41 points in the second half tonight to roll past the Millikin Big Blue and earn its first victory in Decatur since the 2018-19 season. Annika Richardson led all scorers with 21 points on 8-11 shooting and grabbed a joint game-high seven rebounds, while Kate Oliver scored 17 and joined Richardson on seven boards in the win. Alyssa Faberowski chipped in with ten points and a game-leading four assists this evening. The Thunder will stay on the road on Saturday afternoon for a 2 PM contest against the Elmhurst Bluejays. #LetsRoll
