My son is autistic, not as severe as some but he is 7 and he still doesnt fully communicate verbally. He has extreme aversions to foods and textures. He is brilliant in some areas and so far behind his peers in others. I love him and wouldnt trade him for anything, but if there is a way to help him, or prevent others from having to deal with all of these issues in their children, it should be sought out.
