We don’t ask pediatricians if they’re gonna “climb the ladder” into geriatrics, so why do we ask high school athletic trainers when they’re going to “level up” into college/pro sports? Athletes are athletes and they all deserve healthcare. There shouldn’t be a hierarchy.

@4symbols78 Right, I believe it is about to be approved in VA. I have never had any interest in doing it, so I don't have a preference for myself. I'm curious what the benefit/risks would be for those that want it.

@SamTheATC Just approved it in TN. I am probably not going to mess with it so it doesn’t matter to me.

Being in VA, there is a big push for ATs to be able to perform dry needling. Interested in what y'all think! And why?

Which nurse would you choose to see 2x/week? A) Great bedside manner. Knows you by name. Makes you feel comfortable. Shots hurt like hell. B) Rude. Didn’t introduce herself. No follow up instructions. Shots felt like nothing.
