everyone’s pushing “institutional demand at highs” but price is still flat / weak we’ve seen this movie before early 2024 → massive ETF inflows, price ran to ATH but later periods → strong inflows, price mostly sideways even more interesting there were phases where flows dropped and price still went up so flows ≠ direction most of that “demand” today is coming through ETFs not direct spot buying so it’s exposure, not necessarily real conviction and since ETF era started btc has been trading more like a macro asset correlation with liquidity > narratives by the time “demand is high” becomes the narrative it’s often already priced in we’ve seen this before participation peaks near local tops not bottoms either this is quiet accumulation before the next leg or it’s late money stepping in as exit liquidity add macro on top fed > flows one metric won’t save you positioning > narratives
