I firmly believe that everyone playing DnD doesn’t realize just how easy it is to learn a new system when the core rules are only 20 pages and not 200. If you can learn and play DnD you can play ANYTHING, and I believe in you.

House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski. This took me an age to finish, most of the year in fact. It’s unwieldy in both text and physicality (the fact that it’s as big as a text book I believe is intentional) but it is an experience unlike any other. Rare feels and inspirational.

The Galaxy and the Ground Within by Becky Chambers. I held off on reading this for a while due to mixed recs, but am so disappointed in myself for doing so. It’s wonderful and emotional throughout. A rare piece of non human centric Sci-Fi, yet still reflective of recent times.
