Batswana 🇧🇼 Police in Mogoditshane, the largest peri-urban village near Gaborone often called “Mogadishu”, are worried about growing tensions between Batswana and Zimbabwean nationals. According to Mmegi newspaper, locals accuse some Zimbabweans of being involved in rising crime, which has sparked violent clashes over the weekend. Three Zimbabweans were seriously injured in the fights. Police have confirmed the incidents and are urging everyone to stay calm while they investigate. They warn that vigilante action could make things worse.
