I am told this is a British Record for Alex. Road mile times a bit complex, as it's only been a record event since 2022. Laura Muir has run 4:15 at the Fifth Ave Mile.

The worst think about indoor athletics is the music in the background all day. I think it would really take the shine off winning a world champs if you had to listen to Happy by Pharrell Williams as you crossed the line.

4:07.65 for @SarahAMcDonald to win at the Miting Internacional de Catalunya. Only a second shy of becoming the seventh British woman with the World Indoor Q (4:06.50). Not a bad season opener!

Good to see @SarahAMcDonald on the start lists for the Míting Internacional de Catalunya 🇪🇸 on Saturday. Her first indoor race since the 2019 European Indoor Champs in Glasgow. Also a season opener for @GuyLearmonth in the 800m.
