@McBrideLawNYC @dom_lucre Maybe you just hate woman. Which is can tell by the way you just spoke to me. A child of God. So get bent bro
English

Ohh… my dear Protestant… let me help you.
The Church Fathers did not read Mark 16:17 the way you are.
St. John Chrysostom and St. Augustine both recognize that while believers may invoke Christ’s name, the Church alone holds ordered authority, exercised through bishops and priests.
The sons of Sceva proved the point. They used the name of Jesus without authority… and got destroyed.
Power is not authority.
A woman, especially as a mother, has real spiritual authority in her home. That is part of God’s order.
But she is not a priest.
Which means she does not exercise public authority over demons in the name of the Church.
No Church authority, no binding and loosing beyond her proper role.
That is why this video is nonsense.

@McBrideLawNYC @dom_lucre Here you go. Probably should study before mocking.
The Authority to Cast Out Demons: In Mark 16:17, Jesus states, "And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons..
English

@SarahfromOC @dom_lucre I read the one that gives many examples of men casting out demons, and no examples of women doing it.

@jaysonyork Because you've given zero explanation for the opinion. I gave you several reasons to defend my position. Therefore yours seems weak and on shaky ground. I know I can do what I want but you grouped everyone together and cant defend your position. Have a nice day.
English

@SarahfromOC You can do what you want. I don’t know why you care about my opinion.

Unpopular pastoral opinion #2
Removing teens and children from the worship gathering or teaching settings for their own groups has been a net negative for the fortification and mission of the church.
There are positives, there are negatives. Overall, it’s been an L.
English

@jaysonyork Why is that an issue for you? They are worship songs. Not sesame street songs. With pastors. Not babysitters. Arent we to judge by fruit not opinions?
English

@SarahfromOC So they “worship” separate from the rest of church? If yes, that wouid be my biggest issue
English

@jaysonyork Its not for ours. They learn the word. They worship. There are other services where children's church isnt provided and they are in regular services. Its never a lesser thingm if youre saying separating them for childcare and no preaching then we can agree.
English

@SarahfromOC I have, and I think it’s a net negative for the church and for the children. This was exactly the opinion I stated in the original post.
