Sweet success in 7th Grade Math! Students celebrated their growth on the middle-of-the-year MAP test with a well-earned ice cream treat! Their hard work, determination, and positive attitudes are showing in the progress they’ve made, and we are so proud of you!

Big thanks to our amazing PTO for the snack bar today! You kept our staff fueled, smiling, and feeling very appreciated. Little surprises like this turn an ordinary day into a really good one. We’re grateful for the time, effort, and kindness you pour into our school!

The SMS Robotics Team put their skills to the test at the Middle School Texas Region 5 State Robotics Championship Tournament in Coppell, and they brought home two trophies! 🏆🏆 Our students showed off their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving all day long!

So proud of these girls for spending their Saturday at Skills Camp with Express Frisco Dance & Cheer! 💛📣 They worked incredibly hard, pushed themselves to learn new skills, and showed so much dedication all day long.

A group of our SMS Book Club members spent their Saturday at the North Texas Teen Book Festival in Irving—and it was a book lover’s dream! Students listened to amazing author panels, met some of their favorite writers, and of course…added a few new books to their collections!

Our 7th grader honors science took learning on the road with a trip to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science! From towering dinosaurs to hands-on engineering challenges, students spent the day testing ideas, asking big questions, and discovering just how fun science can be.

Happy National Educational Diagnostician Week! We are so incredibly thankful for Mrs. Maresh and Mrs. Hearn, our amazing diagnosticians who work tirelessly to support our students, families, and teachers.

Our PTO parents spend countless hours cheering us on, lending a hand, and making our school a better place for everyone—so today we had the chance to return a little of that kindness. A special luncheon was held in their honor, and it was filled with smiles from start to finish

Today Mrs. Payne’s honors class, put science into action by making solar cooker s’mores! Students explored how solar energy can be captured and converted into heat using simple materials, then tested their designs to melt chocolate and marshmallows to perfection.

Our science team clearly understood the assignment: feed the staff well and sprinkle in some joy while you’re at it. Today’s pizza and Coke float luncheon was a full-on feast — fresh salad, pasta, pizza, and desserts! And those Coke floats? Instant nostalgia in a cup.
