Students celebrated their growth on the middle-of-the-year MAP test with a well-earned ice cream treat! Their hard work, determination, and positive attitudes are showing in the progress they’ve made, and we are so proud of you!
Today our SMS ELAR team hosted a tasty pasta staff luncheon!
The spread was full of delicious pasta, yummy sides, and plenty of sweet treats. Even better than the food was the time spent together.

The SMS Robotics Team put their skills to the test at the Middle School Texas Region 5 State Robotics Championship Tournament in Coppell, and they brought home two trophies! 🏆🏆

A group of our SMS Book Club members spent their Saturday at the North Texas Teen Book Festival in Irving—and it was a book lover’s dream!
Students listened to amazing author panels, met some of their favorite writers, and of course…added a few new books to their collections!
Our 7th grader honors science took learning on the road with a trip to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science!
From towering dinosaurs to hands-on engineering challenges, students spent the day testing ideas, asking big questions, and discovering just how fun science can be.

Today Mrs. Payne’s honors class, put science into action by making solar cooker s’mores!
Students explored how solar energy can be captured and converted into heat using simple materials, then tested their designs to melt chocolate and marshmallows to perfection.
Our science team clearly understood the assignment: feed the staff well and sprinkle in some joy while you’re at it.
Today’s pizza and Coke float luncheon was a full-on feast — fresh salad, pasta, pizza, and desserts! And those Coke floats? Instant nostalgia in a cup.
