Gachas are live service model games, and not a single one is a saint above the rest. Constructive discussion between systems and practices should not only be expected, but are necessary. Did Wuthering Waves pull one over the eyes with the collab logic? Yes, though I don't find it as predatory as the majority consensus makes it out to be since in the end, to convert Astrite into Tides is a choice the player made with no information regarding the details of the collab. And one of the characters is free to obtain with little effort on the player's part. On the other hand, the Fate collab story was surprisingly weak and the lack of creative freedom gave it a lackluster presentation overall. Even I'm not about to sit here and defend Caster being represented as a generic NPC who couldn't be named because they weren't allowed to use her. I'm not that bothered by the collab gacha since we have a whole ass story AND brand new area to explore, which has me more excited compared to part 2 of the Fate collab in HSR. I'm not passing judgment until the collab happens.
