🕊️ @KimBurrellLove ‘s powerful rendition of “Take Me To The King” was a fitting tribute to Rev. Jackson…
The final public obsequies of the late Rev.
Jesse Jackson concluded at the House of Hope, the longtime headquarters of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition. Rev Jackson founded and lead PUSH for several decades before retiring due to ill-health.
The service was a reflection on the man, his loved ones, and his impact. From South Carolina, to South Africa, to the former Soviet Union...from Chicago, to Cypress, and the Korean Peninsula...Rev Jackson was revered, admired, and celebrated.
Of course, he didn't always get the appreciation he deserved while he was living but as his widow and eldest son said "he will be remembered more fondly in death than he was treated in life."
The lesson of Jesse Jackson's life remains: keep hope alive...
