@latbbolch I've tried to go to a 6 p.m. game there and got in with 8 minutes gone in first half. It is an excuse. UCLA should not be forced to play 6 p.m. games, but we all know TV calls the shots.

Will be interested to see what the turnout is tonight in Pauley Pavilion, looks pretty sparse with 10 minutes to go before tipoff. Really no reason not to have a good crowd based on the way this team has played over the last month. And no, 6 p.m. start is not an excuse.

As player-manager, could have guaranteed himself enough ABs to reach 3000 hits and 600 HR, but always put the team first instead. Somehow, a brain-dissolving 45 voters left Robinson, one of the most decorated players and important figures in MLB history, off their Hall of Fame ballots in 1982. He is perhaps the least talked about inner-circle, all-time great.
