Shapecatcher.com had some server problems these last days and a long downtime, I'm sorry for that! Recognition should work again now.

Up and running - server is working now.

My recognition server has a problem - Shapecatcher is currently down, I'm sorry.

@SmarterYoutube It gives you the closest Unicode char, which is much more than that. ASCII has just 126 codepoints,mostly for standard latin

+1000 characters (mostly symbols from the symbola font) and a better search algorithm!

Shapecatcher.com is running again. The recent downtime was needed to inspect the server and update it.

Finally, I have some spare time to improve Shapecatcher!

There is also already an Obj-C library under MIT-license to access the API: github.com/kgn/Shapecatch… @_kgn thanks again for that!

A shapecatcher API is soon public, send me a message if you want to test it.

870 new Unicode characters are now supported: this means Katakana and Hiragana, Kannada, Telugu and more complete symbol support.
