Today is Allied Health Professionals Day!
There are 15 AHP roles across a range of sectors from emergency response and diagnosis to rehabilitation.
Thank you to all our AHPs for the crucial role you play in treating, rehabilitating and improving the lives of patients 💙
Had cancer before 2024? Finished treatment?
Consider filling in the Indigo survey, which asks questions about your life now so healthcare providers can continue to improve treatment & services for people who will receive a cancer diagnosis in the future: bit.ly/4ptfQ6d
So excited to see the patient experience trolley out today for the first time. Visiting inpatient wards it offers ward leaflets, sleep well packs, headphones, activities & personal care packs. @W_H_Charity thank you to our charity @WhitHealth@MiaG_03@sarahwilding8
And well done to our winning project in surgery- “Implementing the hot cholecystectomy pathway” @drcdparmar and to the very very close runners up @KevinGibride and the vaccine team and Hannah in the frailty team
Nurses should be central to the plan, they are essential for delivering high-quality and safe care. We must also address health inequalities, particularly in areas with low early cancer diagnosis rates. We need community engagement that fosters lasting & trusting relationships.
We’re excited to be developing our patient experience trolley. Run by volunteers, the trolley will offer patients personal care packs, ward leaflets, sleep well packs and activities for our inpatients. Thank you to @W_H_Charity@KiBcharity@WhitHealth@sarahwilding8
