Shifting from the outfield to shortstop was no sweat for @mookiebetts, who turned the series-ending double play in Game 7. Thank you for donating your glove to the Hall of Fame!

The transpacific exchange of baseball — as told in the @baseballhall’s “Yakyu | Baseball” exhibit — through the lens of Ichiro’s historic induction. A great read before visiting Cooperstown to see Ichiro’s plaque and this brand new exhibit in person. espn.com/mlb/story/_/id…

No marks when you hit it flush! @JeffPassan caught a neat interaction in the clubhouse after Kyle Schwarber’s heroics in the historic #AllStarGame swing off. The bat he used, which he generously donated to the @baseballhall, remains pristine - 3 swings, 3 homers, all flush.

Free at ESPN: The All-Star Game swing-off was a smashing success for baseball. It didn’t matter what it could’ve been because what it delivered was awesome. espn.com/mlb/story/_/id…

It was such a pleasure to have longtime friend and Red Sox official scorer Bob Ellis back in Cooperstown last week. He donated his scorecard from the August 26 game in which Danny Jansen made history appearing for both Boston and Toronto in the same game. Thank you, Bob!

Today 8 former big leaguers held a clinic at Doubleday Field for residents of nearby Pathfinder Village, an incredible open-access neighborhood for individuals with Down syndrome & developmental disabilities. This was their fourth annual clinic and it’s always a tremendous event.

Time of delay: 60 days, 18 hours, 35 minutes. And two months later, Danny Jansen makes baseball history. Thanks to longtime friend and Fenway Park official scorer Bob Ellis who donated the scorecard he kept for this historic game to the @baseballhall.

Danny Jansen became the first player to appear for both teams in the same game – batting for Toronto when play was stopped June 26 and catching for Boston upon Monday's resumption. Bob Ellis, who served as official scorer on both dates, donated his scorecard to the Hall of Fame.
