@balldontTy Agree. Dude doesn't even pay for his courts they are gifted to him by the team. Spike one of the few celebs thats been around forever and clearly has a love for this team that is unmatched.

I have never associated Ben Stiller with the Knicks as it’s main celebrity. It has always been Spike Lee. going back to my damn middle school days, it was Spike Lee in a Knicks fitted on the sideline - even when they sucked balls. The fact that Stiller has somehow finageled his way as their *celebrity guy* & now the figurehead of this doc. Just feels like something that was stolen from Spike. maybe not, but it sure feels that way. I can’t be the only one noticing.

Only part of this story that is true is that Sean did in fact lose 800k, closer to 2 million from what Lucky (Leonard) told me, after a handful of heads up sessions. Eventually (to the best of my knowledge) Sean & Soverel got it all back + some interest playing 3 handed. There have been some legendary scammers/sunruns come through high stakes the past 10 years, a lot of which I've experienced first hand. May make for a good thread...

Story time on how this guy ended up putting me on the most tilt I’ve ever been in my life. This guy wanted to play me heads up at Aria one day. At first, I wasn’t even interested. He only had about $20K to his name and it wasn’t worth my time. But he convinced me to start at 500/1K blinds because he said it’d be fun and over quickly. Well… he doubled. So we moved to 1/2K. Then he doubled again. And again. Next thing I know we’re playing 2/4K heads up, and this absolute maniac somehow manages to take me for the entire $800K I had on me that day. The funny part is before we played, he showed me a picture of himself standing in front of his busted-down house holding a stack of cash and told me: “Once I win your money, I’m gonna take an even better picture.” Every time he stacked me, he’d pull out his phone, record videos of me, laugh at me, make fun of me, and post it all over social media. The crazy thing is I wasn’t even that tilted. The way he was playing, I thought there was absolutely zero chance he could keep winning. As long as HE had my money, I figured I’d get every dollar back eventually. That $800K was all the money I had in my box at the time, so I told him: “Keep it safe overnight. I’m going to the bank in the morning and I’ll bring you more.” He looked at me and said: “Don’t come back with less than a million.” I told him: “Buddy, you’ll get unlimited action until you bust me. You’re the guy that’s gonna beat me out of $100 million.” I came back the next morning ready for round two… Only to find out he had lost every single dollar overnight playing craps and blackjack. Not some of it. Not most of it. All of it. The casino got my $800K before I had the chance to win it back. To this day, losing the $800K doesn’t bother me nearly as much as finding out he punted it all before I got my rematch. I’ve never been more tilted in my life.

@berkey11 @SamSoverel Sounds like he had a helluva ride and now will crush any regular high stakes "non pro" home games he plays. Probably the best investment pf time and money he ever spent. Or else he just decided he wasnt scared to play nose bleeds when dead broke as Sean says

Imagine he "knows* everyone and shows you roles and pics of all this money and what are probably fake deposit slips and asks to borrow money for a game and he gets you back tomorrow plus a percentage of winnings because he's waiting for deposit to clear

Interesting way to word the events that transpired. I played 6 3+ handed games with lucky. All sept-nov2023. He won in 5/6 of those games and net won money. He did beat sean and a few others HU for big numbers and lost most of it to me. He came to town with not a lot of money and claims you beat him for 300 or so? So i probably scooped what everyone lost minus your win.

Kimbal Musk explains United States Government wants to pay $1 billion dollars per rocket launch SpaceX came along and said no, the price is way lower at only $50 million US Government pushed back and wanted the cost $1 billion dollars per launch “Government would say, "But we'll pay you $1 billion. We just want you to do it our way." No, but that's the wrong way. You have to do it this way. It's $50 million. We were very happy with that price. The government was like, "No, we don't want that." And we actually couldn't believe it. We're like, "But you must want it for a lower price." Actually, they didn't care that much about price.” Basically it works like this Old defense contractors can spend as much as they want and the government will pay that amount plus 10%. That means they have an incentive to make the launches as expensive as possible SpaceX said here’s a fixed price of $50 million and if we can do it cheaper then we can keep the extra money This is a much better incentive system because it saves taxpayers a huge amount of money and SpaceX gets rewarded for making launches cheaper

Witnessed something incredible on a train from Amsterdam to Utrecht today An American tourist on with his phone, speaking at full volume "Yeah bro, you gotta come to Europe bro. Those chicks are craaazy about an American dick bro" The entire carriage was looking at him in disgust Suddenly, two minutes later, the ticket inspector appeared with two police officers "Sir, you are in violation of public disturbance laws. Excessive noise in public transport is strictly prohibited" "What? I'm just on the phone, what are you-" The police officer printed a €500 ticket on the spot "Check his pockets too!" an old lady screamed from the back "What?
