Divestment victory! Yesterday, with a record turnout for the vote, UofT faculty and librarians passed an historic divestment motion. The membership of the University of Toronto Faculty Association (UTFA) called on the University Pension Plan (UPP) to divest from the manufacture of weapons used to commit or facilitate war crimes in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Sudan, and all other contexts of crimes against humanity, illegal occupation, and other serious violations of international law.
