I finally just had to start roping off the bathroom door with a trashcan blocking the door and a "closed" sign to get people to stop coming in. Some people are just checked out on life or simply don't care.

Years ago, I worked cleaning bathrooms. When I'd clean, I closed the door and put a "closed" sign. People still came in. So I put a trash can in front of the door next to the "closed" sign. But people would move the trash can next to the "closed" sign and come in.

Gonna go with the Catholics on this one and not the white evangelical war-mongers.

During Christmas week 2024, three days after leaving sexual misconduct sabbatical at a treatment center and with law investigating, Fr. Kuhn was allowed to "reconnect with parishioners" at his old parish by hearing confessions and presiding Mass before going on diocese desk duty.

Father Kuhn’s attorney filed a motion asking the court to dismiss prosecutors’ criminal sexual conduct charges against Fr. Kuhn, arguing that Minnesota’s law banning clergy from engaging in sex acts with their parishioners violates the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause.

Father Aaron Kuhn faces five counts of criminal sexual conduct and one count of stalking for his alleged conduct with a woman over a period of approximately three years.

Speaking in the abstract, and as a canonist who’s done more than a few cases: Apart from in cases of crimes against minors, it’s almost never the “thing” that gets you laicized. It’s the refusal afterwards, over a period of years, to conform to legitimate instructions.

@allie__voss I knew a couple like that. I don't think they even liked each other at the point they finally got married. I think they were just to embarrassed to call it off.

The fact that we treat relationships like they're mini-marriage is contributing to a lot of people stuck in unhealthy ones People now do couples counseling to "save" their boyfriend/girlfriend relationship I'm sorry, but breaking up with someone is sometimes the best option
