i hate the fact that now when I see artwork/animation I can't be amazed that a person took the time to develop the skills and create it without thinking it was possibly made using AI. Its so hard to appreciate art the same now and its demotivating

@MeloB0XX i dont compete often but can relate to this feeling 100% Bringing that level of discipline into passion is such a difficult balance.

i always compete when the conditions aren't ideal -- didn't have time to warm up, didn't sleep the night before, sick (if online) etc. I feel like it's the best way to make sure you're ready for significant events, but damn it can be demotivating.

@jmidoesstuff this reminds me of the good old days when I first started Melee in South Korea🤣 used to be nearly impossible but so hype to find anybody to play with

asia melee. waiting 20+ minutes for a game on unranked, just for it to be 170+ ping, dont take the stuff you have for granted.

I have unfortunate news, as of today there will no longer be another Melee In Progress. It's been a real fun time helping run this tournament. Happy and forever thankful to everyone who went whether you competed or just chilled. See you at another Socal event.
