Amber was a fine character up until the "plot twist". Before then, her questioning why Mark was always disappearing was completely reasonable. It put massive pressure on Mark, but it was fine *because she didn't know*. But then apparently she did know. The entire time. Now those scenes have gone from interesting drama to intentional guilt tripping. The writers made her look worse for the sake of a subversion.

For the millionth time 🤦🏿 Toshiro Hitsugaya isn't a child he just looks like one because his immense spiritual power developed far faster than his body could age. While still a regular soul living in the Rukongai, Toshiro started having visions of Hyorinmaru and unconsciously unlocked his Shinigami powers long before joining the Shin'o Academy. His spiritual growth was so rapid that he achieved Bankai during his short time at the academy , making him the youngest and only Shinigami ever to do so. Despite being well over 100 years old and serving as a captain for decades, his default child-like appearance is essentially a restriction caused by his immature Bankai. When he finally activates his true, completed/matured Bankai (Daiguren Hyorinmaru ), his body physically matures into an adult form to withstand the overwhelming power. Bankai is the reflection of a Shinigami’s true self. Toshiro’s matured Bankai reveals his true physical appearance, transforming him into an adult form that matches his actual age and power
