ESL Pro League Stage 1 - Major Qualification impact With ESL Pro League starting up lets look at how the results will impact the Major Qualification. First of all ONLY EPL Stage 1 counts toward major qualification deadline on October 6th. Matches from EPL Main stage starting from October 4th will not impact October 6th ranking in any way! It is also important to say that qualification will depend on results of other events ongoing, especially the results of LanDaLan final, as a BetBoom win will push the bar higher for how many points is needed to qualify for the EU. ----------------------------------------------------- Teams which can qualify via EPL: GamerLegion B8 HEROIC Fluxo (AM) GamerLegion just needs 1 win to secure the Major qualification. Can maybe qualify even with 0-3 but would be a risk. Can't reach stage 2 as the matches are not valuable enough. B8 must advance to be safe and has chances with 2 wins. HEROIC must advance and has chances with 2 wins (Looks to finish below B8 with same number of wins) For both B8 and HEROIC the safe option is to advance! Fluxo has a chance of qualifying in the Americas region but needs 2 wins or better to have a chance. ------------------------------------------------------ Teams which can't qualify via EPL: ENCE Inner Circle HOTU Gentle Mates* Rooster (AS) ENCE, HOTU, Rooster and Inner Circle can not qualify in any way. Gentle Mates has the slimmest of chances with 3-0 but it depends on too many things going their way to be realistic. ------------------------------------------------------ Major stage 2 and 3 invite impact: G2 (Stage 3 EU) Astralis (Stage 2 EU) 3DMAX (Stage 2 EU) Stage 2 Americas region: Legacy (AM) NRG (AM) M80 (AM) G2 needs to advance and can't lose to very low ranked teams in the process or they will risk losing their stage 3 invite. Astralis will have to win 1 match to guarantee their major stage 2 invite (top 10 EU). 3DMAX likely needs to advance (3-x) to not lose stage 2 invite. Reason is that Liquid will likely pass FaZe so 3DMAX needs to stay above FaZe in the ranking. Legacy, NRG and M80 are all playing for a stage 2 invite for Americas region. Currently competing with Passion UA who plays other events. 4 teams for 2 spots. Its very close so it will be decided by which teams does best at EPL. M80 will have to win one more game than the other 2, so NRG and Legacy have the upper hand before starting. ------------------------------------------------------- EPL Stage 1 has no impact for FURIA as they are already safe for a stage 3 invite for the major in the Americas region.
