Come hither, gather around this old Peasant and let me tell you a tale about the slow decline and eventual collapse of the US dollar as the global reserve.

#gold is about 5% away from the bottom. In fact this could even be it. US $4,300 A short term and sharp correction was eventually coming. It ran way too far from a steady trend. But if you’re bearish gold and selling all your gold stocks you’re going to miss out on a historic run to $10-$12k gold soon enough. Given how poor the small spec gold stocks reaction to the upside has been, I’m surprised their reaction to the downside is so severe given were STILL over $6000 AU gold. Nobody believes this is the new price

@asxpeasant Mate you've been in minerals for 3 seconds... no one was confidently buying gold stocks once it breached the 100DMA hence they drew down 10-15% post. People confidently bought stocks once it bounced off the 200DMA, hence the US overnight.

@SniffRocks Oh yeah “everyone” hence why everyone was confidently buying gold stocks the last few days at rediculous discounts instead of selling Notice the Sarcasm? Gold stocks are severely down because “everyone” doesn’t match your narrative

@asxpeasant Buddy you aren't a genius for guessing $200 off where the bounce was - virtually everyone I speak to thought gold would hit 200DMA after breaching the 100DMA... it's not complicated

@SniffRocks After days of relentless selling, absolute mayhem of selling in gold stocks, and a single post within the hour of the exact moment we hit the bottom within 5% of 4300. You want to retrospectively hindsight warrior tell me that the bottom was “always” and “going to be” Okay.

So… Rally this week on TACO / de-escalation. Use the bounce to trim where you should have before. Buy $GDXJ and $NQ puts on Thursday / Friday. Maybe calls on energy and ags. Watch Tripoli ARG deploy onto Iranian islands and retaliatory strikes on regional energy. Monday…

Rising global coal and gas prices will create a windfall for Aussie producers. QLDers will get a larger cut of that windfall due to the variable royalties introduced by the previous Labor government. Download a working paper of mine about them here: fresheconomicthinking.com/api/v1/file/55…

@codenrl @BulldogRitchie This is why the game is currently a debacle with its rules, arsehole coaches with Melbourne DNA coming up with BS tactics means the NRL has to keep reinventing rule changes.

@NatedawgO7 What particularly progressive things has Albo done? He's been excessively moderate (if you ask his base) on virtually everything outside of social commentary. Given in entirely into the jewish lobby & yet to actually have any radical tax changes or economic moves

Interesting. Labor bleeding 12% of their primary vote in their safest seats in South Australia. Thus is with a very centrist leader. With a woke elitist lefty like Albo it could be far worse in federal politics

Antony Green - elections@AntonyGreenElec

It may have been the Liberal Party punished by One Nation at the state election, but the table below shows that Labor also lost support in its own safest seats. How would that play out at an election involving a less popular government? Link to post in first reply.

@jtourzan Next you're going to tell me Vietnam also appreciates the US' involvement in their country 😂My experience in Korea was very different when I was travelling with my Korean friends who were displaced during the war & weren't refuged in the US or employed by US companies

Maybe they just liked me. I’ve been to Korea several times and knew a lot of Samsung guys from my days at Sony. My ex-gf was an English teacher in Korea and is still pen pals with the doctors with whom she worked. Bay Area also loaded with Korean Americans who are very successful.

This guy cracks me up. Like it wouldn’t be in the best interests of the Cuban people to get rid of that government. Heard he is staying at the Melia too which is one of the nicest hotels in Havana. Who pays this guy?
Right Angle News Network@Rightanglenews

Hasan says his goal, while wearing $1,500 Cartier glasses, a $3,000 Cartier ring, and a $700 button-up shirt, is to educate the Cuban people on how positive communism is and that all of their struggles are actually due to America.

@HayekAndKeynes Iran now having superiority in the region can't allow israel to re-arm after they started this conflict. They have every right to push back israeli borders, destroy all military sites & to take out senior generals in response for what happened to Iran.

Took so much flak for this call over the weekend. It’s 100% the right move. Mission accomplished. If Iran doesn’t reopen the Strait after the bombing stops, the world will see them for exactly what they are. A bunch of terrorists trying to hold the global economy hostage. SPR release and other flows (pipelines, floating storage, etc) buys 40 days for oil markets. Gas is more fragile though.

Melbourne Storm’s owners are reportedly sounding out investors for the NRL club and could hand over control of the club they bought in 2013. An intermediary is gathering interest for the club but has yet to secure a suitor. 📝 @dailytelegraph
