Keith The Social Worker 🏳️🌈
@SocialWorkKeith
My name isn't really Keith, but I am a Social Worker. Reform. I try to give honest and realistic opinions. Some may not fit expected Social Worker narrative.

@SocialWorkKeith @Saskiateague ALSO THEYRE ALSO "bleating about hair" lmao???? They brought it up to call it a mental health crisis because of not confirming to the average hair standards. :P
English

@TheNorthernEcho They're just penguins 🤣🤣🤣🤣

English

@Liynpriv @Saskiateague Weird thing to reply to someone though isn't it. They're talking about a mental health crisis and you start bleating on about hair.
English

@SocialWorkKeith @Saskiateague Nobody I just felt like talking about how much I liked the hair :3
English

@Liynpriv @Saskiateague Who mentioned hair?
English

@Saskiateague You're right, the black and red hair IS awesome and I DO want it, thank you for respectfully and in a mature manner:
Praising the hair style
Praising the hair dye
Respectfully giving constructive criticism!
English

@RetroHero64 @Saskiateague Who mentioned coloured hair?
English

@SneezyGremlin @Saskiateague Who mentioned hair colour?
English

@Saskiateague So are you gonna say the same thing about the many women who dye their hair Black, Brown or the most common, Bleach Blonde? 🤔 Or do you just not like these colours?
English

@Imadkarr @basilthegreat Problem is... we don't want Islam here.
English

@basilthegreat Children should learn about all religions in school, so they can decide which one to have when they grow up.
English

@SpockResists @basilthegreat Its a cusion/pillow you absolute melt.
English

@basilthegreat Of course everyone jumps on it without checking if it’s real.
What are British values anyway? Swearing? Bad behaviour in schools? Getting so drunk and getting into fights. Peeing in the streets. Getting so drunk you collapse and sleep on pizza?

English

@darrengrimes Curious as you why we are allowing people who do not speak/read our native language to vote. Having to amend our signage, regardless of what it is, is abhorrent.
English

@DJEMEDIA_ I think you'd be great at this DJ.

@BladeoftheS @elonmusk has probably paid more tax in one month that you have and ever will in your entire life.

@juloof1 @Jenny_1884 Why shouldn't a person be able to chose if they want to die or not?
English

Yes me. I was a manager in dementia home for over 31 years and I have seen residents not have any visitors until the day they die. Then family will show up to see where the will is or what jewellery they had left. I just think some elderly people will feel a burden and will chose that option when there quality of life is good or families will push for it because they want the inheritance. It just scares me a bit
English

@S24NAP @jane_hitchen @juloof1 @Jenny_1884 Why? Abortion is legal, and that person growing getting ready to be born isn't given the option they will be killed. But a capacitated adult also isn't to make that decision to be killed. Very backwards.
English

@jane_hitchen @juloof1 @Jenny_1884 Fictitious sci fi nonsense. We need to face reality - no one in their right mind would let someine euthanise themselves without correct legislation abpnd scrutiny in place. This is meant for those at the end of a long painful inevitable battle ahead.
English

@rmctom380 @juloof1 @Jenny_1884 interesting analogy. no one chose to be born, but we choose to have pets and animals, and can choose to end their life with slaughter or euthanasia. At war people get slaughtered, but someone terminally ill who will die in X months/weeks anyway isn't allowed to pull the plug? Hmm
English

@juloof1 @Jenny_1884 My thoughts are these if you have ever witnessed a family member, loved one, close friend diminishing before your eyes and how much they are hurting you would never want them to suffer. The fact most people wouldn’t let an animal suffer. I feel it should be made law
English

@SimplyJack2 @juloof1 @Jenny_1884 No one person living or dead chose to be born. At least give people the choice wanting to end it.
English

@juloof1 @Jenny_1884 And who can ever forget that baby in the NHS which every waking moment was pain. 50 years ago it would have died at birth. Instead we gave it 24hour medical support keeping it Alive in a state of horrendous unimaginable pain all becuase it's parents didn't want to pull the pug.
English

@Harr_Ferguson The state must pick up the pieces for people who have the right to have children, but have the inability to maintain and sustain life. No one commenting on the landlord not fitting fire alarms, or fire service referral, or mental health teams. Nah just point at social workers.
English

Heartbreaking. The family had visits from social workers, health visitors. Mother a lone parent had mental health problems, poor housing. Far too much expected of her. No family support. Her 4 boys died in house fire. So tragic. The state must do more.

@JamieStone3579 @rowenarenshaw @RobMitch92 With so many different teams, dynamics and management styles, there is no one answer. Giving managers freedom to manage their own team based on its own personal make up as opposed to a blanket approach would be significantly better.
English

@rowenarenshaw @RobMitch92 Managers are generally stat driven. It is as simple as that. Any consultations are irrelevant, as decisions are already made and surveys, meetings, consultations of frontline staff are purely a courtesy and managers are merely going through the motions.
English

@SocialWorkKeith @RobMitch92 Yes, I think I have Keith. Women are already heavily discriminated against, and this would still be true whether you have 3 or 10 female bosses. I also said paternalistic as managers are too quick to assume they know what's best for their workforce without seeking their opinions.
English

@rowenarenshaw @RobMitch92 Ok, perhaps you need to spell it out for me. Please tell me CLEARLY why women specifically would benefit from working from home. Paternalistic? Isn't the point of being in employment? You adhere to organisational policies. Think you've lost the plot.

@gazzabiker @graveshambc wtf is awkward about it? you have a walking stick? or a small dog?
