@toby6385840 FE lecturers are defending their professional conditions and the integrity of the FE system. They deserve our support and the minister should get off the fence and stop acting as an observer and more like someone who is responsible for such an important part of our economy.

The HMRC states that "a deduction cannot normally reduce your pay below the National Minimum Wage". @theSNP @GraemeDeyMSP Yet it is acceptable that lectures deemed 100% of their salary for not completing 1% of their job role? Families plunged into hardship. Is this fair?

Absolutely shameful that colleges across Scotland are deducting up to 100% from lecturers wages as punishment for taking part in “action short of strike action”. This is not “fair work” and the Scottish Government must intervene.

@AlexNeilSNP Just for the record Alex, both sides have been negotiating.....or rather, Fela negotiated, employers failed to. Meanwhile, government nor ministers intervened. With intervention & much needed financial input from government this could've been settled. Instead, sat on sideline.

The impact on students is unacceptable. Both sides need to get round the table to thrash out a deal
