DOE’s $8B kill list hits major grid projects ift.tt/K8peuwZ

The U.S. Department of Energy may be planning to terminate roughly 600 grants nationwide. As of now, the list currently includes two DOE contracts awarded to the Solar and Storage Industries Institute. These projects aim to solve two of the toughest challenges in clean energy: how to build faster and strengthen community support for large-scale projects.

“While it is unclear if these proposed cancellations are final, there is no doubt that in cancelling grants like these, the administration would make it harder to build the energy infrastructure Americans rely on. We will use every tool in our toolbox to defend them," said, David Gahl.
