Sometimes, we have to redefine ourselves to evolve. The things that created success for us at one phase become the things holding us back in another. This comes to mind as I'm helping a founder go from being hands-on with everything to delegating. Action bias, the "do something!" effect, is why he got his company to a few million ARR, but it's exactly what's preventing him from growing further. Alex Hormozi points this out about "shiny object syndrome," that new and creative ideas initially reward an entrepreneur, but then kill many entrepreneurs when the time comes to focus on a single killer product. There are probably a ton of sports analogies in here too as the meta shifts between styles of play, formations, etc.
