Looking closely, we see ballooning of the left ventricle at the apex with wall motion abnormality leading to the diagnosis of Takotsubo’s cardiomyopathy. Additionally, there is an apical thrombus present. #POCUS

Joint arthrocentesis performed with ultrasound guidance and revealing for pus. Aspirate later grew out MRSA.

Ultrasound of the month: 46 yo F hx IVDA with ankle pain. Endorsed trauma and had no evidence of cellulitis on exam. #POCUS shows subcutaneous edema with dermal thickening and joint effusion with internal echogenicity and septations concerning for septic arthritis
