@GiganticCranium There are lots of Atmos enabled tv’s out there with many drivers and they’re quite good. Is that different than what you’re thinking?

@TimNielsen There are many engineers around the globe making beautiful, creative,fun &. captivating mixes and there simply is no comparison to stereo. Im sorry but to hate the idea of immersive music as a whole is a pretty narrow way of thinking.

@SoundForeman Not sure what DD+ is. Just complaining about the Apple Music Atmos versions, either remixes or upmixes that started come through my home theater setup. Sounded gimmicky like early Atmos film mixes. Random stuff placed all over the sound field. Was more distracting than pleasing

Heard my first song come across my AppleTV in 'Atmos' today. Took me about 15 seconds to disable it forever. Sounded dreadful. #stereoisenough

@TimNielsen I’ve yet to hear anything “gimmicky” or random. If a track is labeled Atmos then it’s not an algorithm upmix as heard on earbuds. I’d urge you and others to explore more. It’s quite surprising to hear negative comments from the sound community.

@sepulchra @TimNielsen Ya get started …I’m super curious what your issues are.

@stankroom @TimNielsen @sepulchra The head tracking is great for folks that can”t hear the “environment” very easily. It s helps ground them. My issue with it is that it gets stuck as you move around. Otherwise, after giving it a second shot realized it’s actually pretty cool.

@markkilborn @aaronbrownsound DAB is currently Mac only. Let’s not start the ‘Ol Mac vs PC debate but I’m gonna guess it b/c Mac’s are so much better 😜
