The real strength of the Bay Area should be diversity of thought, not demanding everyone think alike. If players are free to support Pride Night, they should also be free to follow their own religious convictions without being attacked. That’s what tolerance looks like. Let players wear the Giants cap and play baseball. If players of faith see how these Giants are being treated, don’t be surprised if some future free agents think twice about coming to San Francisco, or if current players become more interested in testing free agency when their contracts are up.

That is a mistake. The Giants won't be good till 2029. He is a FA after 2028. The Giants have been extremely clear that they won't sign pitchers to long term contracts. They will let him walk for nothing.

For being 13 games below .500 this is the happiest the fanbase has felt on an off day all year. The future is here, and while this will likely end up being a hugely disappointing season, the emergence of Bryce Eldridge has made it exciting. I can’t wait to see him play tomorrow.
