Life in Scotland could be so much better - with independence, we can lower energy bills, rejoin the EU and build a fairer society. #BothVotesSNP

The Big Question. If the Union is so good, why is almost everything in the UK so crap? And similar sized countries to Scotland in Europe are much more prosperous….🤔 Fewer rights than English people.

Listen as an energy expert reveals electricity bills are higher in Scotland despite our renewable generation because England imports gas to generate much of its electricity. This fact - broadcast on Radio Scotland in 2022 - is being suppressed by the BritNat media.

Deeply disappointed that the UK Labour government has blocked Ming Yang’s investment in our renewables industry - putting up to 1500 Scottish jobs at risk. At the very moment we should be building clean energy, they are sabotaging Scotland’s industrial future.

Israels economic minister Nir Barkat complains about Iran indiscriminately firing at Israeli civilians, and when Matt Frei raises what Israel has done in Gaza he says its completely different. Save for a very weak follow up question about precision there was no pushback from Frei

"Israeli society has gone full fascist. It's like Berlin 1930." Abby Martin describes her horrifying experience in Jerusalem where every single person she spoke to espoused casual genocidal rhetoric against Palestinians. The footage speaks for itself.

Only with independence. Wake up & start supporting Scotland - not English parties in Scotland, looking after England’s interests. Parties like crooked Labour & the corrupt Tories/Reform

Scotland is rich in energy, so why do we pay some of the highest bills in Europe? Because we don’t control our own energy resources. Independence is how we can lower bills and ensure our energy wealth works in the interests of Scotland - not Westminster.

A British court has heard evidence that the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) “misled” its audience during the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip. The evidence was presented as part of documents in a case being heard by a UK employment tribunal, in which five journalists of Arab origin accuse the BBC of discrimination and of unfairly dismissing four of them for refusing what they described as racist and discriminatory practices within BBC Arabic service. The five complainants are Ahmed Rouaba, of Algerian origin; Dima Odeh, of Syrian origin; Nahed Najar, of Palestinian origin; and Mohamed El-Ashiry and Amer Sultan, both of Egyptian origin. The claimants are represented in the case by John Barnes from Albertson Solicitors. This is the first case of its kind brought by this number of journalists from the Arabic of the BBC Service of World Service against the long-standing news corporation. Veteran journalist Amer Sultan, who is of Egyptian origin and one of the five claimants, accused BBC management of unfair dismissal. He said this was partly due to his reporting of what he described as “serious breaches” of the BBC editorial guidelines in the early weeks of the Israeli war on Gaza, which began on 7th October 2023. During last court session, it was revealed that Sultan—who worked for 17 years on the BBC’s Arabic website and television—had reported examples of breaches of the Guidelines to BBC World Service management. According to case documents, Liliane Landor, the former director of the World Service, held what were described as “listening sessions” to understand what went wrong and to discuss the reasons behind mistakes made by the BBC at the start of the war. These mistakes had sparked widespread criticism among BBC journalists and in political and media circles in Britain and the Middle East. middleeastmonitor.com/20260322-bbc-i…

The idea that people decide to relocate purely to save income tax was always a myth. In reality other things matter far more: jobs, public services, infrastructure, etc.

A very important thread. Devolution gave Scotland power over taxes. It raised them. It has since, seen its economic strength and productivity grow the faster than England, Wales, or Northern Ireland and attract high earners with that strong economy. x.com/L__Macfarlane/…

NEW: We often hear that Scotland’s more progressive income tax is “driving people out the country.” New HMRC data shows the opposite. Far more taxpayers are moving to Scotland than leaving it. Let’s look at the data 🧵

The SNP isn’t perfect, no human is perfect. But an SNP Government is much better than all the other shite offered by the Brit Parties. Open your mind & consider voting SNP. A better future than this is possible.
Anne@annewitha_e

Since Nicola Sturgeon resigned Scotland has been subjected to a media feeding frenzy the like of which we've not seen since 2014. No the SNP is not perfect, humans are not perfect, but no one can possibly govern a country better than people who live in that country #independence

What an embarrassment. Scots gov kept this airport alive. A decision Labour ridiculed them for. Ryan air has invested before you came along and UKgov put in the LEAST amount of money of all those investing. Just another day of Scotland office boasting about ZERO.
